My name is Marie (pictured here with my son), I'm 36 years old, and I'm the owner of Trigger Pointe. I was born into a gun family. Shocking, right? I was up to my eyeballs in firearms throughout my childhood. My parents both shot competitively with muzzleloaders and taught my siblings and I how to shoot and handle firearms from an early age. My parents, along with two of their friends, even founded a muzzleloading shooting club, Lafayette Longrifles. Muzzleloading is just in my blood. It's ingrained in my very being. Alongside that, my dad also made sure we were educated in modern firearms. He encourages my siblings and I to carry, to protect ourselves, and to be educated.
In addition to that, years ago, I found myself in a place of feeling incapable of protecting myself. From those experiences, my love of firearms was born. I love the community, I love feeling empowered to protect myself, and I find firearms absolutely fascinating.
So the dream.....

One day, after a Lafayette Longrifles shoot, I realized just how happy I was. I was in a spectacular mood. I'm a generally happy, positive person anyways but I mean I was HAPPY. My happiest days are days spent at the range. And it struck me in that moment that if I could spend every day of my life at the range, I'd be the happiest person alive.
Now I've had a series of dreams over the years, so this dream is an evolution of ALL of those dreams combined. My vision for Trigger Pointe is to be a fully functioning public range where we offer pistol pits, skeet & rifle ranges (both modern and muzzleloading), to host events and competitions for IDPA, 3-gun, muzzleloading, and sporting clays. In addition to offering the standard shooting sports, my vision includes offering free training to victims of assault, abuse, and domestic violence... partnering with shelters to provide education and training to those in need, to those who's lives have been impacted by an inability to protect themselves previously.
I also plan to offer concealed carry courses, including a women's only concealed carry course, basic firearm safety courses, and several others.

Additionally, I'm working towards obtaining a Federal Firearms License so my business model can include firearms transfers and sales. Like I said, it's a lot of little dreams consolidated into one big one... go big or go home, right?
So bear with me... this is just the beginning. It may take me months, it may take me years. It very well may be a long process to get where I want to be. But for now, it's a start of something spectacular and I hope to, at the very least, entertain you along the way and inspire you to chase your dreams.
A wise man once told me "happiness is a choice". So I'm choosing my dream.
Sounds like your dad is a wise man…😊
Can‘t wait to see the final product, and then to see it proofed and shooting!
